As the Executive Director of the Office of Army Cemeteries I am honored and humbled to lead this great organization whose mission is to pay tribute to our fallen heroes and oversee the care of our nation’s Army Cemeteries. Those who have been laid to rest in our Army cemeteries date from the present day to the founding of our nation. They include Native Americans, Civilians, Foreign Military POWs and American service members; spanning generations and representing nearly every American conflict. Each hero has a unique story whose life and actions have contributed to the forward progress of our country. Likewise, each Army Cemetery has a distinct history rooted in culture, tradition and the land upon which it resides. Every day I will work diligently to ensure we honor our fallen interred in these sacred grounds, in the most dignified and respectful manner possible.
